Simple orange Spondylus (shell) necklace, with a little amazonite bead. This necklace is completely handmade, and it is made with the highest quality of Brazilian wax string. The piece of Spondylus is from Atacames, located in Esmeraldas province, in the northwestern region of Ecuador.
This shell, called "Mullu" by the natives of the Andean region, had a high value in the Inca Empire. In fact, the Spondylus was considered the "red gold" of the Incas.
